A little dotty

I bought a new purse last week, which called for a new make-up bag. Isn't she cute?
There was finally enough light outside to take half decent photos too.
I'm seriously working on figuring out how to make a zippered pouch without those tucked in corners at the zipper ends.

It's a full moon out there this morning, but I can see a little bit of light on the horizon. Spring is coming! (Well, soon-ish anyway)

  1. Indeed, she is a little beauty. Look at all of those green full moons she is sporting!
I went outside in the wee hours of the morning to stare at the full moon. She was full to bursting and so beautiful. I didn't stay too long because it was frigid out and my jammies were just not warm enough.

  5. It’s a dotty indeed. We say ‘wat een dotje’ when you would say ‘What a little sweetie’!
Sping yes, we have temperatures of above 10o C.
Lots of rain and heavy wind however. In two weeks time there will be daylight till 18.00 hours. Jippie!

  6. Very cute dotty bag! When I made my cousin bags last february, I didn't like the way the ends of the zipper were, so I squared them off just like the bottom of the bag. Still not what I envisioned, but a little better. You might see if you like that type of treatment. ;-)

  7. I adore polka dots. I'm a sucker for anything that has dots.

I like your hanging hearts, too. And what a neat way to make them with the wax paper. Smart idea!!

Have you checked my blog lately as I've been doing a Valentines series. Today I have my V. Day tree posted.

  8. This is the second time this week I gave this web address away. Go check out Ginny's tutorial for zippers over on her blog isew.biz.com- http://isewblog.blogspot.com/2007/07/zippy-zips.html

I think it's what you are looking for! Love the polka dot fabric you used. If you don't already know I got a soft spot in my heart for those circles.

  9. Love the little dotted zippy bag. I've booked marked two zippy bag tutorials, I'm not sure if the zipper pics would be helpful, but take a look. http://www.flickr.com/photos/15683948@N00/sets/72157602003927800/

  16. To avoid those tucked in zipper moments why not leave the ends out at each end of the zip and then sew a matching tab of fabric onto each end
